This Earth Day, we're excited to tell you about one of our passion projects: sustainable eating! Uniworld and our sister brands have set lofty goals for greener tourism practices—Net Zero carbon emissions by 2025—and we're confident we will smash that goal. One of the biggest ways we are doing this is by focusing on food waste reduction. Since piloting the Leanpath reduction system in a few of our kitchens, we've eliminated over 50 tons of food waste, equating to an incredible 36% reduction. In other numbers, that's 93,305 meals, 354 metric tons of CO2, or 1,247,516 bathtubs of water! And now that we’ve launched the program on every ship we own, those numbers are about to skyrocket. |
